Terra midwives

Obstetric care in Amsterdam and surroundings​

We’re a small team of four involved and enthusiastic midwifes. During your pregnancy, we get to know you pretty well. We strive for you to see each one of use at least once during your pregnancy, so as to ensure you see a familiar face at your delivery.

What may you expect from us? That we will put your wishes first. That we provide you with solid, reliable information. That we’re trained to signal any problem. And that we commit to you, your baby and your pregnancy for the full hundred per cent. Always.

Wanted to work with baby’s from an early age on. Was first educated to become a nurse at the intensive care and heart monitoring. Decided to become a midwife after the age of 30. Hasn’t had a single moment of regret ever since. Has four daughters, three guinea pigs and a dog. Can be found either dancing or working out, listening to music or making daytrips with friends and family.

Is a proud midwife since 2010. Is not afraid to speak her mind on national television when it comes to smoking free pregnancies. Focusses on a fit and healthy pregnancy. Listens very carefully and has the patience of an angel. A necessary trait, with four children. Reads to her children or anyone else who likes to listen. Prefers singing over talking.

Is very happy being a midwife since 2006. Logical, after wanting to become a midwife from such an early age. Loves to guide women and their partner through the process of pregnancy, delivery and maternity period. Had two children of her own, delivered by her colleagues. Loves to read, drink coffee with friends, enjoys good food and the beach. Preferably all at the same time.

Indispensable for our practice. Combines boundless enthusiasm with a delicate approach. Is experienced as a maternity nurse and a doctor’s assistant and continuously tries to improve our care. Assists at our information meetings and IUD placements and teaches clients how to insert injections in case of pregnancy diabetes. Loves to be your maternity nurse. Loves to travel, eat good food and work-out. Has three adolescent daughters.
